Five Naxals arrested in Chhattisgarh

Five alleged Naxals, including one
allegedly involved in abduction and rape of a two minor girls,
were arrested in Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh in separate
operations, police said today.
Superintendent of Police Prashant Agrawal told Bhasha/PTI that Naxal Kudiam Gujja was arrested from a jungle near Faraspal village while Madvi Lakhmu was arrested from Meena Bajar late last night.
Three others Kudiyam Nagesh (35), Ramashankar (30), and Michcha Venkat (35) were arrested from Madded Police Station Limits.
Gujja(30), carrying a reward of Rs 10,000 on his head, told police that he was in the Naxal movement for the last 12 years and confessed he was involved in the abduction and rape of two minor girls from Modakpal Police Station limits, alongwith fellow Naxals whom he identified as Nagesh, Kishor and Shivaji, earlier this month.
He used to pick up girls at the behest of Naxal leaders, police claimed.
Police had filed a case with regard to the rape on October 2 after the two girls were found.
