'Congress Will Not Tolerate AAP's Undemocratic Activities'

The Congress would take to the streets against Aam Admi Party (AAP) government if development works started by the previous Congress government slowed down, party's new Delhi chief Arvinder Singh Lovely warned on Sunday.

On the day (Sunday) he officially took charge as Delhi Congress unit president, the former minister minced no words, saying the party would not tolerate any "undemocratic activities".

"The party would not compromise on the respect and integrity of the Congress workers at any cost," Lovely said, without directly referring to the AAP.

Lovely added that the Congress's outside support to the AAP to form the government in Delhi should not be interpreted as endorsement of the latter's policies.

"The Congress decided to give outside support to the present Delhi government as it respects the sentiments of people so the new government could fulfil the promises it made to the masses," he said.
