Faridabad: Industrialist's son, 36 others booked for violence

Police today registered a case against the son of a noted industrialist and 36 others for allegedly attacking bank officials, who had come to seal their factory unit for defaulting on a loan.

The industrialist had failed to repay a loan of Rs 120 crore with the public-sector bank, following which the bank had requested Deputy Commissioner Balraj Singh Moore to allow them to carry out sealing of their factory unit, they said.

With Moore's approval the bank officials last night sealed the factory in Sector 24, belonging to the industrialist. But the factory workers broke into the unit and allegedly attacked bank officials, police said.

The industrialist's son allegedly got into a scuffle with the officials, broke the sealed locks and trespassed into the factory. He along with 36 other factory workers also indulged in stone pelting, they said.

The police has registered a case on a complaint filed by the public sector lender's chief under various sections of the IPC.
