3.2 quake hits northeast India

An earthquake of slight intensity rocked parts of northeast India and Bangladesh Monday, an official said here.

According to officials, no loss of life or damage to property was reported.

An India Meteorological Department official told IANS that the 12.10 pm quake measured 3.4 on the Richter scale.

Its epicenter was in Khowai in western Tripura on the border with Bangladesh, 85 km west of here.
