Documents seized from Baffna’s house

A set of DVDs and documents from his personal safe were reportedly seized and the process was recorded.

The CB-CID sleuths searched the house of bookie Sanjay Baffna as part of the custodial interrogation during which the police reportedly seized DVDs and incriminating documents, here on Tuesday.

The search lasted for over two hours at Sanjay Baffna’s Kilpauk residence on Branson Garden Street.

The officials required the assistance of Sanjay Baffna in opening all the doors since they were secured by a digital number lock.

A set of DVDs and documents from his personal safe were reportedly seized and the process was recorded.

Sanjay Baffna was confronted with those evidences and information gathered during the custodial interrogation of Kitty alias Uttam C Jain who was alleged to be the City Kingpin of the IPL betting.

Meanwhile, a high-level meeting of the CB-CID top brass was underway at the CB-CID headquarters which was convened expecting the appearance of City-based hotelier Vikram Aggarwal. The hotelier had reportedly communicated with the agency that he would  appear before it on Wednesday to depose as the witness and to aid the investigation.
