Complaint against Delhi CM

Former BJP Delhi unit chief Vijender Gupta on Thursday filed a complaint with the CBI against Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit on charges of criminal breach of trust and misappropriation of public funds by publishing false advertisements during the poll  campaign in 2008-09.

Gupta said Dikshit used public funds  to the tune of `22.56 crore for personal use and for Congress political campaign.

He, among other things, alleged that public funds were used to finance advertisements. Dikshit was also the minister in-charge of Information and Publicity during the period.

BJP Delhi unit chief Vijay Goel, who accompanied Gupta to the CBI along with other party workers, said the number of advertisements issued by the state government increased manifold (fivefold) during the election year.
