Sinha puts lid on leadership rift between Narendra Modi and Advani

Senior BJP leader Yashwant Sinha on Wednesday said the controversy on the resignation of veteran leader L K Advani from all party posts is a “closed chapter”.

Speaking to the media in the sidelines of a function at Kakkanad in Kochi, Yashwant said all confusions regarding the appointment of Narendra Modi  as the chairman of the election committee were over. “The BJP is ready to face the elections with courage and determination. We are confident that we will win the general election,” he said. On whether Modi is the future prime ministerial candidate of the BJP, he said all questions and doubts had been addressed by party national president Rajnath Singh.

About the reported role played by the RSS in pacifying Advani, he said “somebody had to do that”.
