Notice to BJP on AAP Fund Issue

NEW DELHI: The Aam Aadmi Party on Saturday sent a legal notice to the BJP general secretary and MP Ramesh Bidhuri and Delhi party president Satish Upadhyay, for their “false” allegations on the sources of party funding.

“We are very transparent in our funding, everything is online. The AAP challenges the BJP to reveal its sources of funds. Can the party deny that 75 per cent of its funds come from unknown sources?,” said Atishi Marlena, party spokesperson. Earlier, AAP’s Delhi convener Ashutosh had said for the past few days, rival parties were making allegations over the funding. The party was in the process of preparing a list of people making such claims.

“The party has decided to take a strong view on this. After verification by the MHA, which is controlled by the BJP, we gave an oral submission to the Delhi HC on Friday, that party’s funding was transparent,” he said.
