New Book Traces Disputes Around Demolition of Babri Mosque

AYODHYA: A new book tracing the disputes over Babri mosque Ram temple site says one of the first persons to reach the spot where the the idols of Lord Rama was placed was Faizabad District Magistrate K K K Nair, on December 23, 1949.        

Ahead of the 65th anniversary of the placing of the idols of Lord Rama in the Babri mosque tomorrow, the book titled "Ayodhya: The Dark Night" claims that on December 21, 1949 Nair had met a group of sadhus at a low-profile Ayodhya temple, Jambwant Quila.    

Authors of the book, published by HarperCollins, are Krishna Jha and Dhirendra K Jha.
