JALPAIGURI: The bandh called by the Adivasi Vikash Parishad in protest against the killing of adivasis in Assam by NDFB(S) militants affected normal life in Dooars area of North Bengal on Saturday.

Most of the shops and commercial establishments in the Dooars area were closed and the workers in the tea gardens also did not report for work, officials said.

Vehicles were also off the road in the Dooars in support of the bandh.
