1 Dead, 2 Injured in Bengaluru Blast

BENGALURU: Bhavani Singh, 32 Years succumbed to death, in a 'low-intensity' explosion triggered by an Improvised Explosive Device outside a restaurant here tonight. Two injured are being treated in Mallya Hospital.

The blast occurred around 8.30 pm infront of Coconut Groove Hotel, Church Street in the heart of the city and it was caused by an IED, City Police Commissioner M N Reddi told reporters.

Police have sealed off the area and mobilised additional forces, he said.

CM Siddaramaiah and Home Ministers K.J. George are returning to city from Mysuru and Mumbai.
