Undertrial Dies in Muzaffarnagar Jail

An undertrial prisoner lodged in the district jail died allegedly due to an asthama attack, police said today.

65-year-old Jamal succumbed to asthama in jail yesterday, Jailor of the district jail, Mizazi Lal said.

The undertrial was arrested two years ago in a case of robbery. He was under treatment from Loknayak hospital in Delhi, he said.

The body has been sent for post mortem and an inquiry has been ordered into the prisoner's death, Lal said.
