India has finally asked Italy to give adequate security to its embassy after several hate mails were sent to its office, even as rallies in support of the Italian marines continue across the European country. “We have sensitised our friends in Italy and hope that necessary measures will be taken to ensure safety and security,” said External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Syed Akbaruddin. He confirmed that the Indian embassy had gotten a bullet and hate mails in post.
