MUMBAI: The city police have permitted actor Preity Zinta to travel abroad, though they have not completed recording the statements of the witnesses in the case she has filed against ex-boyfriend and industrialist Ness Wadia.

Zinta called city police commissioner Rakesh Maria on Monday at his office. During her discussion with Maria, she denied that she knew gangster Ravi Pujari who alleged threatened Ness’ father Nusli not to harass her.

The actor also shared other details of how Wadia allegedly intimidated and pushed her on May 30 at Wankhede Stadium. She has agreed to return to Mumbai at short notice. Maria said two witnesses in this case have sent their statements from foreign countries. The police are yet to get in touch with a US national Jean, a witness in this case.
