CBI Shares Ishrat Case Info with MHA

NEW DELHI: The CBI, probing Ishrat Jehan fake encounter case, has handed over the case related documents to the Ministry of Home Affairs, which wanted to examine it before granting the sanction to prosecute four Intelligence Bureau Officials, including former Special Director Rajinder Kumar.

The MHA had earlier asked for certain documents, including case diary, and had said that it cannot give sanction without verifying the documents. Sources said the CBI has handed over the necessary documents, including statements of the accused and witnesses.
