MUZAFFARNAGAR: A man has been sentenced to life imprisonment by a court here for raping a 12-year-old girl in 2009.
Additional District and Sessions Judge Lukmanul Haq also imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 on the convict Jony after holding him guilty yesterday.
The girl, who belongs to a tribal community, was raped by her neighbour Jony when she was going to give lunch to her father who was working in the fields.
The convict, who also belongs to a tribal community, is already serving a jail term in another rape case.
