Action against Navy Officials

Four senior officers and two sailors have been found to be culpable in a mid-sea collision between naval warship INS Talwar and a fishing vessel off Ratnagiri in December last year, Defence Minister Arun Jaitley told the RS.

NEW DELHI: Four senior officers and two sailors have been found to be culpable in a mid-sea collision between naval warship INS Talwar and a fishing vessel off Ratnagiri in December last year, Defence Minister Arun Jaitley told the RS. 

The Defence Minister said the incident of collision between INS Talwar and the fishing vessel has been attributed to both inadequate lookout and non-adherence of standard norms of outboard lighting by the fishing boat.
