BHOPAL: The Special Lokayukta Police raided the residence of a senior Electricity Board official here and recovered disproportionate assets running into several crore rupees.
According to Lokayukta officials, the raid on the premises of Pradeep Chaudhary, Assistant General Manager (AGM) with the Madhya Pradesh Electricity Board, was conducted after more than three months of investigations.
Apart from documents showing Chaudhary to be the owner of two bungalows, six flats, three shops and plot at a prime location in the state capital, the raiding team also found five quintals of onion from his house. “He also owns 30 acres of land in Raisen district and operates more than 12 bank lockers. We raided his home at 7 am,” an official said.
On seeing the raiding team, Chaudhary reportedly fainted and his family members resuscitated him after more than 20 minutes.
