Wanted, Governance Ideas that Click

NEW DELHI: In a bid to get the people involved in governance matters, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday launched a website, mygov.nic.in, aims at helping citizens to give their views, ideas and opinions on the issues and programmes of the government.

The inauguration of the people-centric platform also marks the completion of 60 days of the Modi Government.  The website is a technology-driven medium that will provide citizens an opportunity to contribute towards good governance, a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) said.

On the occasion, Modi said many people wanted to to contribute towards nation-building. “In the past, there used to be a big gap between the people and the processes of governance,” Modi said.

“The success of democracy is impossible without participation of the people. The only thing they required was an opportunity to shine and showcase their contribution,” he added.

Modi hoped that everyone would join hands through the MyGov platform to take the country forward.
