The sedition charges registered against 67 Kashmiri students of Swami Vivekanand Subharti University (SVSU) were withdrawn on Thursday.
The Ministry of Home Affairs sources said in a late-night development that the state police dropped the case against students accused of cheering for Pakistan cricket team, in a match against India last week.
“We had asked for details about the case. The ministry was informed that the case has been withdrawn,” sources added.
