The mother of five minor children was beaten to death by her alcoholic husband after a quarrel in Rajasthan's Dungarpur district, police said today.
The incident took place last night when the accused, Kanti Lal, a labourer, returned home drunk and began quarrelling with his wife Sushila over some family issues.
Following the spat, Kanti Lal beat up his wife badly and hit her head against the wall, in which she received fatal injuries, Bichiwada police station SHO Dilip Singh said.
Neighbours informed police about the incident this morning, the SHO said, adding that policemen went to the spot and recovered the body.
"The couple has five minor children and two of them were at home when the incident occurred," the SHO said.
A hunt is on to nab the accused.
