Show the Realities of Gujarat, Kejriwal Tells Media

Unfazed by all the criticism levelled against him for stating that the entire media is sold out, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) founder Arvind Kejriwal continued his tirade against the media houses.

Replying to a question at the start of the road show organised here, Kejriwal said, “The media has not brought out the true story of Gujarat, where the farmers are facing a lot of hardships. Instead, they have projected Modi as the champion of the cause of the farmers. Does the media have the courage to bring out the true story of Modi?”

“Modi is being projected as the saviour of the farmers. But, in reality, the farmers in Gujarat are suffering and their land is being snatched to favour industrialists. Some of them have even committed suicides. The farmers of this country are being misled. Can the media show the real story of Gujarat?” he asked. Asking the media to highlight the ground realities in Gujarat, Kejriwal said: “I have

personally seen the state of farmers in Gujarat. The media should highlight the incidents of corruption in Gujarat as it is rampant through the 12 years that have elapsed since Modi became the Chief Minister of that state. Modi is cheating people by making misleading statements and false claims.”

Kejriwal told the media to expose such false propaganda. He said, “We did not criticise the media when they carried out sting operations against us. Though Modi is misleading people, some media houses are projecting him as a messaiah, which is a conspiracy”.

Kejriwal refused to comment when asked to name the media houses which are carrying out the false propaganda.
