BJP leaders on Sunday revealed details of the “undervalued” assets and the chequered past of Sabir Ali, the former JD(U) MP who was recently expelled from the saffron party, suggesting that the party had done the right thing by showing him the door. Sabir got the boot within 24 hours of his joining the BJP after senior party leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi pointed to his alleged links with the Indian Mujahideen’s Yasin Bhatkal. He has now threatened to sue Naqvi if the allegations were not proved, and that he would sit on a dharna outside the BJP leader’s house. “I am ready to go to Naqvi’s place or he can come to mine and have a discussion and give proof. If he is right, I am ready to be hanged,” he said.
