Coal Scam: CBI to Hand Over Reports to CVC

Welcoming the decision of the Supreme Court in the coal blocks allocation cases, the CBI on Sunday said it would be handing over closure reports of 20 preliminary enquiries (PEs) on Monday to CVC for scrutinizing whether the cases can be closed or chargesheets need to be filed.

“It’s a welcome decision. We have done our job diligently and we are open to whatever suggestions are made by the CVC to the Supreme Court,” CBI Director Ranjit Sinha told reporters here.  He said the CBI would be handing over the closure reports to the CVC on Monday in a sealed envelope.
