19-year-old gangraped by friends in a moving car near Delhi NCR; four held

A 19 year old girl was allegedly gang raped in a moving car in the district of Gautam Buddh Nagar by four people known to her.

NEW DELHI: A 19 year old girl was allegedly gang raped in a moving car in the district of Gautam Buddh Nagar by four people known to her. Looking at the credibility crisis that the Uttar Pradesh police is currently suffering from, the authorities moving swiftly arrested all the accused. Meanwhile another case of rape with a minor has been registered.

“As the women complaint to the police and identified the suspects, all of them were tracked and arrested within the same day. The victim is a resident of Delhi and came to Greater Noida with four friends and her sister. FIR was registered and will soon file a charge sheet in the matter” Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Dharmendra Singh told Express.  

On Monday evening the girl with her friends started from Delhi in Moti Bagh from where the accused also belong to, towards Greater Noida. After some argument the sister was asked to leave the car and the four arrested went further to Pari Chowk with the girl in a Tata Indica car, further according to the girl when she resisted the bid, four people took turns in raping her for two hours, informed Singh. The accused have been identified as Kalu, Yunus, Banti and Irfan.

In another case of the district on Tuesday one person was caught in Surajpur area red handed trying to rape with a minor in the kitchen of her residence, police said.

Police said the victim was sent for medico-legal test, reports of which are still awaited. The accused hails from Madhya Pradesh and was residing at a rented accommodation at Surajpur village, police said.

“Family of the victim informed the police about the incident. The person is a helper in the house. A case of rape and protection of children from sexual offences (POCSO) Act was registered against him” said a police official.
