Number of dengue patients rise to 1584 in West Bengal

As the number of dengue patients continued to escalate in the hospitals, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today took stock of the situation.  

KOLKATA: As the number of dengue patients continued to escalate in the hospitals, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee today took stock of the situation.  

According to the Health Department, no fresh deaths due to dengue were reported during the day but the number of patients went upto 1584.

"She instructed everyone to follow the directions meticulously," officials said.      

Yesterday, two persons had died of the vector-borne disease in the state taking the toll to 13.
