MUZAFFARNAGAR: The body of an undertrial prisoner was found hanging from the ceiling of a toilet in the district jail here, police said today.
It is suspected that Sajid, who was facing trial in a cheating case, committed suicide. His body was found hanging in the toilet of the jail's barrak number 13 yesterday, Jail Superintendent Rakesh Singh said.
A judicial inquiry has been ordered into the death of the undertrial prisoner, he said.
