CRPF jawan dies in landslide at Vaishnodevi in Jammu and Kashmir

A CRPF jawan died in a landslide near the cave shrine of Mata Vaishnodevi in Jammu and Kashmir\'s Reasi district today.

JAMMU: A CRPF jawan died in a landslide near the cave shrine of Mata Vaishnodevi in Jammu and Kashmir's Reasi district today.      

The deceased has been identified as Head Constable Harvinder Singh of Hoshiyarpur, Punjab, police said.    The landslide occurred near Gate No 3 at the cave shrine where the jawan was stationed, they said, adding he died after being crushed by a huge rock.      

The body was recovered after drilling the rock, police said. The Yatra was restored after a brief halt, they added.
