Mamata's nephew Abhishek Banerjee released from hospital after 13 days

Abhishek Banerjee was discharged from the private hospital he was undergoing treatment in, in Kolkata on Monday.

The Trinamool youth leader has to return to Belle Vue hospital within a few days to get the stitches cut.

Trinamool workers from all over the districts of south Bengal waited patiently outside the hospital to catch a glimpse of their leader.

Abhishek Banerjee was injured under the left eye when the car he was returning in from a worker's meet in Murshidabad district overturned on October 12 after hitting a towed vehicle near Singer on National Highway 2 connecting Delhi with Kolkata and also called the Durgapur Expressway.

Recently Trinamool joined former Bengal Pradesh Congress president Manas Bhunia was also with Abhishek in the car that overturned.  He was however, left unhurt.

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee smelled 'political conspiracy' in the accident and had ordered a high-level probe led by a team of CID and West Bengal Police sleuths. During initial
investigation, it came to light that Abhishek's driver had dozed off. He was arrested for laxity in duty.
