BHOPAL: A 10-year-old tribal boy missing since Friday evening was found brutally murdered at a desolate place near a stone crushing unit in Gwalior on Saturday early morning.

The boy's naked body found was found behind the stone crushing unit on Gwalior-Morena road in Purani Chhawani area. The body bore deep injury marks on the neck raising possibility of a sexual assault.

The deceased has been identified as Sanjay, the son of Ashok. He lived in Baragaon, a locality close to the spot where he was found murdered.

"Primary investigations and injury marks on the boy's neck suggest he could have been murdered. But anything more will become clear only after the autopsy report is out," superintendent of police (Gwalior) Dr Ashish told the New Indian Express.

Preliminary investigations hinted at personal rivalry as the cause of the murder.
