NEW DELHI: After protesting by eating rat and biting on snakes farmers from Tamil Nadu have taken up eating pork on Wednesday.
“We have resorted to this as the Central government has not paid any heed to our demands. Hence we are left with no other options but to eat pig meat” said Ayyakanu leading the protest.
In the last round of protest for their demands, farmers resorted to biting rats in their mouths and later on snakes in order to showcase the crisis that they are facing due to drought situation in Tamil Nadu.
Earlier the farmers had come to the national capital holding different forms of protests daily continuously for more than a month at Jantar Mantar demanding loan waiver of farmer’s loan and interlinking of rivers.
