BENGALURU: Two passengers allegedly under the influence of alcohol created a ruckus in an AirAsia India flight, when the flight was in the air.

Though the incident occurred on Sunday, it came to light on Tuesday, after Air Asia issued an official release.

The incident was reported on AirAsia's  flight I5 1983, which was flying from Guwahati to Bengaluru. According to AirAsia, the incident involved two passengers who were in an inebriated condition. "They were classified as ‘unruly and disruptive’ by the Captain and cabin crew in their remarks, boarded the flight under the influence of alcohol and created nuisance and disturbance on the flight," the release said.

Based on the feedback from the captain and cabin crew, the police were immediately informed and took the passengers to custody.

"The passengers in question, inconsiderate of flying etiquette, caused much disturbance by not only being extremely loud, but were uncouth in their behavior displayed in causing nuisance to cabin crew as well," the statement said.

More details are awaited.
