AAP transforms poll campaigning in Punjab; after online presence, hits the streets

AMRITSAR: In a first, Aam Aadmi Party adopted a unique way of spreading the programme and policies of the party by holding placards, distributing pamphlets and interacting with people at Toll Plaza, Nijjarpura, Amritsar, on Friday.

The volunteers held banners which showed how in majority of the surveys conducted by the media houses AAP is forming the next government in Punjab a thumping majority.

While sharing his views, Avtar Singh Sandhu, a resident of Amritsar, said that SAD-BJP and Congress have ruined the industrial sector of Amritsar, destroyed farming sector and neglected education and health sectors. While the goons of SAD unleashed daylight terror by indulging in heinous crimes and registering false cases against those who raised their voiceagainst the atrocities of the ruling government, its leaders patronised the drug trade and derailed the economy of Punjab by looting public  exchequer with impunity, he said.


“Before the arrival of Aam Aadmi Party on the political map, people were constrained to chose between the bad and the worse, but now people have seen the working of Delhi government led by Arvind Kejriwal and have made up their mind to form the government of Aam Aadmi in Punjab to usher the state into an era of prosperity where the common people will be able to seek education and health facilities of international standards in government sector,’’ said Dharminder Singh.


Speaking on this occasion, AAP volunteers said that they have toiled hard to make sure that each and every person is aware about the mission and vision of Aam Aadmi Party which is focused on ending corruption and drug trade in Punjab while channelising the young energy by creating ample of employment opportunities within the state.
