LUCKNOW: The Lucknow police today filed a charge sheet against former UP cabinet minister Gayatri Prasad Prajapati in a court here in connection with a case lodged on the complaint of Nutan Thakur, wife of IPS officer Amitabh Thakur.

Nutan Thakur had alleged that Prajapati had managed to get false criminal cases lodged against her and her husband following and based on her complaint, the case was registered at the Gomti Nagar police station.

After the police filed the charge sheet today, Chief judicial magistrate Sandhya Srivastava fixed July 27 as the date for taking cognisance.
