Daughter gang-raped; mother assaulted, threatened of rape in Uttar Pradesh

It was only after a local court's order that the complaint was lodged.

GREATER NOIDA: A woman has alleged that her daughter was kidnapped and gang-raped in Jewar and when she went to the police to lodge a complaint the accused assaulted and threatened to rape her too, police said today.

She alleged that initially police were not registering her complaint. It was only after a local court's order that the complaint was lodged.

According to the woman's complaint, her daughter was kidnapped and gang-raped around three months ago, SHO of Jewar police station Rajpal Tomar said.

When she approached the police, the accused assaulted and threatened to rape her too. They had also allegedly robbed goods from her house, the police official said.

A case has been registered and investigation is underway, Tomar said.

Meanwhile, Kasna Police has arrested four persons and seized three luxury cars from them. During interrogation, the accused have confessed to have stolen over 200 vehicles from Delhi and NCR areas, a police official said.
