NEW DELHI: A 35 year-old woman on Monday night was allegedly kidnapped and gangraped by three unknown persons in Gurugram. According to the police, victim was picked up by accused from Sohna area in Millenium City Gurugram after that they raped her entire night in a moving car. Later, accused threw her out the car in Greater Noida, of National Capital Region which is almost 75 kilometers from Sohna.
Gurugram has seen more than 50 rapes and 9 gangrapes this year. According to the data given by the police, over 100 molestation cases have been registered by the police so far. In first week of June, Gurugram witnessed another rape which shocked everyone. a woman was gang-raped and her six-month-old daughter murdered in Manesar. Later, cops arrested two accused in the case. Police claimed that victim woman also traveled in metro with her daughter’s deadbody.
But top cop of Haryana is claiming that after these unfortunate incidents, security measures have been beefed up in the city. “Two or three of unfortunate incidents have taken place in a month's time in Gurugram. These are crime against humanity. We are taking adequate steps and also deploying extra manpower also in Gurugram,” Haryana DGP BS Sandhu said.
The incident came to light around 3:54 am when the victim was spotted by a guard near AWHO residential complex. The area where victim was noticed is a posh area which has small restaurants. Later, the victim asked the guard to call her relative but guard made a PCR call and informed the police. Cops who visited the spot have recovered two empty beer bottles, soft drink cans from crime scene giving the suspension that the men were in an inebriated state. So far investigators have not been able to identify the accused though claiming that they have identified the car. Also, Gurugram police is verifying the version of the victim.
"We immediately provided first aid to the victim. A team has left for Sohna area where the incident took place. We are in constant touch with Haryana police. We are scanning through the CCTV footage of the nearby area for further investigation" said Gautam Budh Nagar SSP, Love Kumar. Cops are also claiming that in CCTV victim is visible roaming in the area but no vehicle has been seen in the footage.
After the medical examination Noida police recorded the victim’s statement in which she that after pulling into a Swift car at around 8:45 last night the three men took turns to rape her. After which she was thrown out in a dark spot early morning before escaping. “Victim was taken to the hospital by 5:40 am on Tuesday morning . She was unconscious and her body had minor injuries. She told us that she has been raped by some men. The victim is out of danger but under treatment,” Medical Superintendent Yatharth Hospital Abhisar Katyar. According to the Gurugram police, victim is married and currently living with her three kids. She was recently separated from her husband.
"We have taken the details from SSP Gautambudh Nagar, Love Kumar. A team of the Gautambudh Nagar police is arriving in Gurgaon to examine the sequence of the crime. We are examining whether they lodged a zero FIR in this regard. We are assisting Noida police and are investigating the matter," said Gurgaon Police Commissioner Sandeep Khirwar.

June 18, an auto driver in Gurgaon raped a seven-year-old girl. The accused was arrested on June 19 from the Dundahera village after a man-hunt, the same place where he had committed the crime.
A 25-year-old woman alleged that she was forcibly pulled inside a Maruti Omni car and raped by a driver around 12.30pm on Monday. Incident took place in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh.
