DEHRADUN ; As BJP emerged the single largest party in the hill state of Uttarakhand winning 57 of the total 70 seats, the big task for its top brass is who to pick as CM.

Unlike other states, there are nearly half a dozen contenders — all top guns in their own right — and it will not be easy for the BJP leadership to make a decision. The contenders for the CM position are- Satpal Maharaj, national executive member of BJP, former Uttarakhand CM’s B C Khanduri, Bhagat Singh Koshyari, Ramesh Pokhriyal and Vijay Bahuguna, Ajay Tamta, minister of State for textiles and Trivendra Singh Rawat, former Uttarakhand State BJP president.
