Unlike other states, there are nearly half a dozen contenders — all top guns in their own right — and it will not be easy for the BJP leadership to make a decision. The contenders for the CM position are- Satpal Maharaj, national executive member of BJP, former Uttarakhand CM’s B C Khanduri, Bhagat Singh Koshyari, Ramesh Pokhriyal and Vijay Bahuguna, Ajay Tamta, minister of State for textiles and Trivendra Singh Rawat, former Uttarakhand State BJP president.
