The Class XI student who was accused in the murder case of Class 2 student Pradyuman Thakur has taken back his confession which he reportedly made before the investigators, sources said.
The accused said on Monday that the investigators forced him to confess to a CBI team and a legal-cum-probation officer from the child protection unit appointed by the Juvenile Justice Board, according to a Hindustan Times report.
The boy also alleged that the investigators thrashed him and recorded the confession in their own words, the report states further.
A CBI spokesperson reportedly refused to comment.
The accused student has been sent to Faridabad observation home where he will be kept until the next hearing on November 22.
The CBI sources on Sunday had said that the investigation in Pradyuman murder case has revealed illegality and destruction of evidence by Gurugram Police.
Earlier on Wednesday, the CBI had arrested the class 11 student of the same school and given a clean chit to the bus conductor, who was arrested by the Gurugram Police for the murder and sexual assault of the child.
The accused, who is a minor was presented before the Juvenile Justice Board (JJB) and demanded his six-day custody. The accused also confessed to his crime in front of his father, the CBI had told a juvenile court.
The CBI said that the accused committed the crime in order to postpone the parents-teachers meeting and the exams.
On Monday, Mamata, wife of Ashok Kumar, the driver held by the Haryana police for the murder of 7-year-old Pradyuman demanded justice and proper investigation, while accusing the school administration of hatching a conspiracy against her husband.
Pradyuman Thakur, was found dead inside the toilet of school premises, with his throat slit on September 8.
