PATNA: Two Bihar MLAs have claimed that two police officers are planning to have them killed.
Anant Singh, the Independent MLA from Mokama, has accused an IG-level officer of plotting to kill him. Goriyakothi MLA Satyadeo Prasad Singh levelled similar allegations against local police station in-charge Uday Kumar.

Anant cited the recent death of a youth while planting an explosive device as part of a conspiracy to kill him. Although the MLA did not name the officer, his aides said he meant IG (Operations), Kundan Krishnan. The youth who died in the blast at Gangaprasad Tola under Mokama police station area on Monday remains unidentified.

Krishnan could not be reached for comment. Senior police officials dismissed Anant’s allegations.
Satyadeo told journalists that Uday Kumar, the SHO of Basantpur police station, had threatened to have him killed. “He also threatened to abduct my son. He is angry because of my protests against liquor sale in my area under police protection,” he said.

Uday Kumar denied the allegations as “entirely baseless”.
