KOLKATA: A fire broke out at the Kolaghat Thermal Power Station (KTPS) this evening but was brought under control without any generation getting affected.

"A fire was reported in a transformer but was brought under control. There has been no impact on generation," a West Bengal Power Development Corporation spokesperson said.
