SRINAGAR: Mobile internet service of all cellular companies, including Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) remained suspended on Monday for the third day to prevent the spread of rumours on social media in south Kashmir, where three persons, including a teenage girl, were killed in security force action on Friday.

However, internet mobile service has been restored in the central and north Kashmir, where broadband and point-to-point internet service was operating normally without any break.

The mobile internet service was suspended in south Kashmir on Friday when a girl and two youths were killed in security force action during Cordoned and Search Operation (CASO) at Hawoora, Kulgam.

For the precautionary measure to prevent the spread of rumours on social media, internet service remained suspended in south Kashmir for the third day on Monday.
