BHOPAL: Gang rapes continue to haunt Madhya Pradesh as three alleged gang rapes, including two with minors have been reported in Raisen district and state capital Bhopal over the last two days.

The first of three incidents was reported from Gairatganj area of Raisen district, where a 32-year-old man identified as Ravishankar Lodhi (32) along with a teenager allegedly gang raped a 15-year-old girl in Murapur Village late on Monday night.

The girl who was gang raped all through the night became unconscious and returned home on Tuesday morning. She told her parents about the heinous act and they reported the matter to the police.

"Both the accused were arrested on Tuesday night and booked for kidnapping and gang rape, besides being booked under provisions of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act 2012," Gairatganj police station in-charge Sanjay Pathak said on Wednesday.

The second alleged incident of gang rape was also reported from Raisen district, this time Devri area of the district. A 17-year-old girl was kidnapped from her house in Gahalwan Village on Tuesday and taken to the jungle, where she was forced to consume liquor and then gang raped by the two accused youths Ramu and Billa.

The matter was reported by the girl's family to local police on Tuesday night, but the accused are yet to be arrested.

In another chilling incident, a 21-year-old tribal woman from Mandla district of MP, who came in search of job to the state capital on Tuesday, was allegedly gang raped by two men (both employees at a premier hotel) in a room near the Inter State Bus Terminal (ISBT) in Bhopal's Govindpura on Tuesday late night.

While both the accused were arrested by the Govindpura police on Wednesday, their aide who helped them in committing the heinous crime is absconding.
