Stable, democratic Pakistan in best interests of India: Mehbooba Mufti

SRINAGAR: Expressing hope that election on Wednesday in Pakistan would lead to a stable government, former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Mehbooba Mufti said a democratic Pakistan is in the best interest of its neighbourhood, especially India.

Voting is underway in Pakistan to elect a new government. President of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Mehbooba Mufti, taking to micro-blogging site twitter, said, ''Hoping today's election in Pakistan leads to a stable government as a democratic Pakistan is in the best interests of its neighbourhood especially India.
