Railway sensitises employees about ethics and integrity at work

NEW DELHI: In a unique initiative, the railways today launched 'Mission Satyanishtha' to sensitise its employees about the need to adhere to ethics and maintain high standards of integrity at work.

It also organised a programme on 'Ethics in Public Governance' at the National Rail Museum.

Railways Minister Piyush Goyal administered oath to the officers and supervisors at the programme.

  "People define an organisation and an organisation defines its people, hence, work culture has to be improved and transparency brought about," he said.

  Lack of interest towards work in any system may be termed as unethical, amounting to corruption," the minister said.

Talks and lectures on the subject were also organised on the occasion, it said.

Eminent personalities like Central Vigilance Commissioner K V Chowdhary, IAS officer Prabhat Kumar and others delivered lectures on the subject.

The event was also webcast live to all zonal, divisional and production units of the railways from the National Rail Museum.
