JABALPUR: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court on Tuesday awarded four years' imprisonment to each to the four accused in the Vyapam scam.

The scam is an admission and recruitment fraudulent scheme, beginning in 1995, involving politicians, senior officials and businessmen in the Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board (MPPEB).

The scam involved 13 different examinations, conducted by Vyapam, for selection of medical students and state government employees, including food inspectors, transport constables, police personnel, school teachers, dairy supply officers and forest guards.
