PATNA: Leader of Opposition in Bihar Assembly and RJD leader Tejaswi Yadav today fired fresh salvo at Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and BJP for alleged lack of central assistance to the state during four and half years of Narendra Modi government.

Speaking at a function to mark the birth anniversary of the state first chief minister Sri Krishna Singh here, Mr Yadav said Chief Minister Mr Kumar had bragged about the double engine government by forming government with BJP after snapping ties with grand alliance in the state but the current situation was just contrary to it.

He said that Bihar was grappling with the problem of poor law and order situation even as the Narendra Modi continued to remain reluctant to release funds to the state.

Calling chief minister Mr Kumar 'chacha' (uncle) and his deputy Sushil Kumar Modi 'Afwah Miya' (rumour master), Mr Tejaswai attacked Narendra Modi government by questioning how much funds it had released to the state during the last four and half years.

"When Bihar will be accorded special status," he asked.

BJP had deceived Bihar even as BJP-JD (U) have more concern for Lalu family than for the state, Mr Yadav remarked wryly over their attack on Lalu family for allegedly amassing wealth through dubious means.
