Seers: Time up for Shivraj govt in MP

To a query on the Congress’ hand behind the conclave, he said canards were being spread about this conclave of the seers.

BHOPAL: A group of Hindu seers vowed to uproot the Shivraj Singh Chouhan-led BJP government in Madhya Pradesh for not serving the cause of the Narmada, cow protection and conservation of temples and muths.

At a Sant Samagam (conclave of seers) in Indore on Tuesday, Mahamandaleshwar Computer Baba aka Namdev Tyagi led the conclave of the seers, who represents all 13 akharas of Hindu religion.
Tyagi, who was among the five religious leaders and seers who got the Minister of State (MoS) status in April, had quit from his post for the same grounds.

“Despite being a native of a village on the banks of the Narmada, the CM has done nothing for the cause of the river. Flow of pollutants is going on unabated. Illegal sand mining too is rampant in the river, which is the lifeline of entire MP. He has betrayed the cause of Dharma (religion), seers, temples and muths, besides cow protection. In the collective interest of the people, we take a vow to uproot this government from power,” announced the Indore-based Baba.

To a query on the Congress’ hand behind the conclave, he said canards were being spread about this conclave of the seers. “This conclave will be followed by similar conclaves in Khandwa, Rewa, and Gwalior. A massive Narmada Sant Sansad in Jabalpur from next month will help to uproot the Shivraj Singh Chouhan government,” he said.

All the seers will travel to villages across the state and expose the BJP government, he added. The Sant Samagam was also addressed by other seers, including Swami Vairagyanand Saraswati, Swami Jitendranand Saraswati and Swami Naveenand Saraswati. The seers also attacked the Narendra Modi-led NDA government on issues, including the delay in construction of a Ram temple in Ayodhya.
