3 Injured in Shooting Near Police Station in Ambala

Three persons were injured when two bike-borne miscreants opened fire at them at their residence in Ambala Cantonment area Saturday.

Surender and Vinod, local businessmen, were entering their home near police station close to Sadar Bazar when the miscreants shot at them and fled, police said, adding that one more person was injured in the firing.

The three were rushed to civil hospital and later referred to PGI Chandigarh, a police officer said.

A probe has been launched to ascertain the motive behind the attack even as the police cordoned off the area, the officer said, adding that a hunt is on to nab the shooters.
