Q: Do you think Rahul Gandhi is slowly gaining traction and Modi slowly losing his teflon coating and unassailable mass popularity?

A: It is natural process. Normally an incumbent tends to lose some sheen over a period of time. And the gainer is always his or her opposition.

Q: My previous query about policemen charged/arrested w.r.to. Rajiv Gandhi's assassination came from news report and not mere assumptions. Anyway, do you think govt's hands are dirty in Rafale deal as alleged by Congress and will the govt's corruption-free image take a beating with CBI director's ousting.

A: Unlike Bofors in which there was some money trail, there is no evidence of any bribe or commission paid for Rafale deal. However, politics is a war of perception. The government hasn’t been able to provide credible answers to many of the questions raised by the opposition. Handling of the CBI affair was also clumsy. Both Rafale and CBI would be important issues during the elections.

Q: What vision you have for India in the coming year 2019?

A: We need a clean, strong and stable government which ensures peace and equitable distribution of wealth generated through maximum growth. Swachh, Swastha and Sampan Bharat or Sabak Bharat.

Q: Why HAL was not chosen to manufacture 108 Rafale aircraft under UPA? What was the truth?

A: Only rulers would know as we have seen different versions in the media. Truth will finally come out.
