Indore, Dec 7 (PTI) The Central Bureau of Narcotics(CBN) has seized 5.2 kilograms of mephedrone or `meow-meow'drug, worth around Rs 50 lakh in international markets, andarrested one person.
Superintendent Sabiha Khan of the CBN's Indore unitsaid Aazaad Khan (35), resident of Mandsaur district, wasarrested from Madhumilan Square here on December 5.
Some 5.2 kg of mephedrone was recovered from hispossession.
Khan had come to Indore to hand over the contraband tosomeone else, the officer said, adding that he was bookedunder the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS)Act.
Mephedrone is also known as 'meow-meow' and 'MD'. Inlocal drug circuits, one gram of this prohibited drug costsaround Rs 6,000, according to CBN officials. PTI HWP ADU MASKRK.
